6 piece cast-iron set of pans in stunning wooden box

This **Bon-Fire cast-iron pan set** contains everything you might need in terms of cast-iron cookware. You can hang one of these pans from a tripod over an open flame, but you could also use them on wood burning stoves or inside on your regular stove. The set is comprised of the following:




* Stew pot with lid, 5L

* Sauce pan with lid, 2.5L

* Skillet

* Grill, 42x22.5 cm

The cast-iron doesn’t have an enamel layer, but has only been enhanced with a thin layer of mineral oil. As a result the cast-iron still needs to be *seasoned*. In short this comes down to this: the pans needs to be enhanced with a layer of oil, such as mineral or sunflower oil and heated. The process is very similar to [seasoning a sheet steel pan](/en/ct/how-do-you-season-a-carbon-steel-pan.htm).


A wonderful aspect of the grill is that you can also use it as a baking sheet when you flip it over. After all, the bottom has been enhanced with a little raised edge to make sure oil or grease will not fall off.
