The **Case Winkler Hambone** is a cool survival knife, designed in cooperation with Clint Romesha. He is one of the rare receivers of the Medal of Honor. All because of his heroic efforts in Afghanistan. The Hambone is a survival knife. You can, however, also use it for many other purposes. Think of hunting, camping, fishing or outdoor cooking.

The spine of the blade is enhanced with an engraving of eight stars. These represent the eight men that died during the operation that earned Romesha his Medal of Honor. As a reminder that he didn't do it alone.

## 80CrV2 steel blade

The blade is made from 80CrV2 steel. This is an extremely tough kind of steel that retains its sharpness well. Hardened according to Winklers special procedure. Not stainless, so the blade is enhanced with a Caswell finish. A type of special etching that prevents rust. It will form a patina in time to make sure it becomes even more corrosion resistant. The patina makes each knife unique.

The handle is made from Curly Maple. . Stunning wood that was given a darker shade. A natural material, so each knife is unique. The handle is nicely shaped. Exactly the right thickness in all the right places. Made for long-term use, without wearing out your hands. The tang protrudes a little at the end of the handle to make sure you can use it as a hammer.

This Case Winkler Hambone comes with a cool kydex sheath with metal belt loop.
