The Casström No. 8 Classic Wood Carving Knife is a classic wood carving knife. You use it to precisely cut-out Dala horses, dolls or spoons. But also for the fine wood work tasks in the bushcraft category a wood carving knife is ideal. Think of precision work with birch bark containers and such. The pointed tip on the Casström No. 8 Classic Wood Carving Knife will then come in handy.
One chose carbon steel for the blade of the Casström No.8. Hardened and tempered up to 58-60HRC to remain sharp for a long time. The edge is of course a classic scandi-edge. Easy to sharpen and perfect for wood work. Carbon steel isn't stainless so make sure that after use you clean it and use a couple drop of oil once in a while. The handle is made from birch wood. The knife comes with a compact leather belt sheath which is great. This sheath has a belt loop with enough room for belts up to 4.5 cm.
