Firstly I would like to thank K&T for their exceptionally great service, 5 🌟's! The Recon 1 Spear point is an incredibly versatile and well designed folding lock knife. It's a phenomenal knife to take into the field and wilderness. The blade profile being the shape of the blade, is absolutely perfect in my opinion for all manner of tasks. It can obviously be carried on it's own, the Tri-ad lock when engaged makes the Recon 1 knives practically a fixed blade knife, and it partners perfectly with a small Hatchet or larger and heavier fixed blade knife should the terrain and length of time spent in the field require a companion tool. The S35VN steel blade straight out of the box has an extremely sharp edge, and S35VN being an American super steel which is produced by Crucible using their patented PM ( Powdered metallurgical technology ) produces a very solid and tough steel with the carbide structure being very strongly adhered together, which in layman's terms means that it very tough, takes a very fine sharp edge that keeps its sharpness for a very long time and because it has a very strong grain structure it is far less prone to chipping or fracturing when compared to any old technology produced steel, and it has great corrosion resistance aswell. It's a fantastic "Super steel" and is now the industry standard, and S35VN is of a very high standard and is used to make many different types of knives. In short, buy one, or even two like myself as it is a purchase that you will be very happy you made for many years to come!
