The **CRKT Monashee 2842** is a robust hunting knife, named after the Monashee mountains. An enormous mountain range that mainly lies in British Columbia and Canada, and extends to the American state of Washington. These mountains are filled with large game few hunters can only dream of.

 The CRKT Monashee has a handle made from TPR: thermoplastic rubber. This material offers you a lot of grip. Even in humid circumstances. This can definitely come in handy when gutting game or when you are hunting in humid surroundings. The Monashee is also enhanced with royal finger grooves to make sure the handle won't slip from your hands during use. The blade is made from 8cr13MoV steel and has an upward convex edge. This is also called a *belly*. This round shape makes gutting game, such as removing the fur, a lot easier.

 The Monashee is enhanced with CRKT's famous Field-Strip-Mechanism. As such you can take it apart in seconds to clean it. Without using tools. This by Ken Onion patented Field Strip Technology is so simple it is hard to imagine that it didn't exist yet. Turn a latch, loosen the wheel: open. You clean it and repeat the process, but then reversed. Within thirty seconds it will be fully assembled again. Perfect for anyone working in surroundings where dirt is an issue such as, you might have already guessed it, hunters.

 All in all the CRKT thought carefully about which troubles hunters can face while hunting. Our conclusion? As a hunter you simply cannot go wrong with the Monashee! The use of solid materials and a great type of steel, however, also makes the CRKT Monashee perfect as an EDC knife.
