The CRKT Slacker 350KXP is a slim pocket knife, designed by Ken Onion. A famous designer and knife maker who has worked with CRKT dozens of times in the past. While designing Ken Onion challenged himself to design a slim and stylish pocket knife with the patented Field Strip Technology mechanism. The result? De Slacker!
Experts in the field of traditional slipjoints will immediately see that the design is derived from the classic swayback-style knives. These are traditional slipjoints with a characteristic wharncliffe-blade and a curve in the handle which is elevated in the back. You recognize the swayback shape from the way the blade and handle are basically the same in terms of shape, but rotated in relation to each other. The Slacker is Ken Onion's modern interpretation of it.
As mentioned before the CRKT Slacker is enhanced with the, by Ken Onion patented Field Strip Technology mechanism. With it you can easily take the knife apart. This Field Strip Technology is so easy it is difficult to imagine that it didn't exist yet. Turn a latch, loosen the wheel: open. You clean it and repeat the process, but then reversed. Within thirty seconds it will be fully assembled again. Perfect when you work in surroundings where dirt is a problem. Think of soldiers, mechanics and hunters.
The handle is made from cast aluminium. An incredibly light-weight but rock-solid material. The handle has been enhanced with a diamond-shaped pattern for additional grip. You open the slacker with the flipper, after which a solid liner lock locks the blade. The CRKT Slacker can comfortably and discretely be carried with the deep-carry pocket clip.
