The **CRKT XAN 2085** is a large and cool pocket knife, designed by Darrin William Sirois. This former soldier used his experiences in the field for his designs. As such this XAN is a good all-round pocket knife. After all, if it is good enough for a professional you can also easily use it as a consumer.

 In addition to a functionally great design, the XAN is also slightly eccentric. The blade, for instance, has an elongated clippoint shape, with a subtle recurve. You might not expect this considering the background of the designer. The pocket clip is also really graceful. The cool way it was bent is quite unique.

 You quickly open the XAN with the thumb stud. The Outburst assisted opening helps a little to make sure it opens with a solid click. When opened a strong framelock will block the blade. As such your fingers will be safe, even during the more demanding tasks. The blade is made from 1.4116 steel. An easy to sharpen, stainless type of steel that is also relatively tough. On the lock side the handle is made from stainless steel, the show side is made from G10 with a carbon fibre top layer. As such you end up with the looks of carbon fibre, with the great price of G10.
