The **Deejo Prestige Damascus Snakewood 37g** is part of the Deejo exception collection. As the name suggests, the knives in this series are exceptional! The Deejo Prestige is a wonderful example. The first thing you notice is the Damascus steel blade. Damascus steel is comprised of many layers of steel that are forged on top of each other. In the past, this was done to create a steel that was as pure and high-quality as possible. However, in modern times it is done more for appearance than necessity, and it has become a real art form! Damascus steel is usually made up of a few different steels, often containing different amounts of carbon. This makes the structures of the layers more easily visible. After forging, the steel undergoes chemical treatment. Because the different types of steel react differently to this chemical processing, the layers become even clearer. The result is a stunning pattern that almost looks like wood grain. Truly special!

## Snakewood

This Deejo pocket knife has a handle made from Snakewood. This wood originates in the forests of Suriname. It is not entirely clear how this wood got its name. Some say that with a little imagination the spots on the wood look like the letter S, while others claim that the spots look like the scales of a snake. Whatever the origins of its name, this type of wood is truly unique!
