The **Doble O Knives Ronin 2.1** is a clear evolution of the original Ronin 2.0 design from 2024. Designed by Ovidio Calvet, with support from Pablo Movilla, the Ronin 2.1 retains the signature craftsmanship, tactical functionality, and stylish finish that the Ronin series is known for.

The tanto blade of the Ronin 2.1 features three functional cutting edges: a hollow grind for fine cutting work, a flat grind for powerful chopping and pressure cuts, and a false edge for improved penetration. This is complemented by technical refinements in the steel’s heat treatment, the coating, the ergonomics, and carrying comfort.

A new feature of the Ronin 2.1 is the leather sheath with multi-clip, which integrates a kydex insert with a diameter of 1.4 cm; ideal for carrying a firesteel or small torch. Inside the sheath, an additional layer of kydex has been added: a subtle innovation that prevents rust during long-term storage and guarantees strong knife retention, without compromising the classic look of leather. Perfect if you love the traditional appearance of a leather sheath but also want the benefits of modern materials.

## Sleipner-steel blade
The blade has a length of 12.7 cm and is made of Sleipner steel, a robust steel type with a nicely balanced composition of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. As a result, this steel offers excellent sharpness retention as well as toughness, ensuring it won't chip as quickly as some other steel types. This makes Sleipner steel perfect for heavy-duty use.

Moreover, this steel is fairly corrosion resistant thanks to the 8% chromium content, but it's not entirely stainless. Please make sure to clean the knife after use, dry it well and to treat it with oil or wax, especially in moist environments. With a simple [sharpening stone](/en/pt/-skerper-pocket-stone-diamond-ceramic-sharpening-stone-so003.htm), you can easily sharpen the blade back to razor-sharpness – even on the go!



This blade is finished with a Cerakote coating. This is a popular coating also used for engine parts, for example. It is a very ‘tough’ coating. It has good impact resistance. Traces of use are therefore less likely to show up. However, it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.
