The **Fiskars X28 Splitting Axe M** has an axe head with a very wide wedge shape. The wider wedge shape splits wood even more efficiently and also makes it easier to remove the axe from the wood. The handle has a very strong construction with a long SoftGrip™ that absorbs the blows during use. This splitting axe is suitable for splitting logs up to about 30 cm in diameter.

## The handle of the Fiskars X series axes

The fibreglass reinforced plastic FiberComp handle of a Fiskars axe is stronger and lighter than a handle that is made from wood. Ik had hoge verwachtingen na het zien van enkele filmpjes over de voorhanger van deze bijl.  De X28 gekozen omwille van mijn 1.78m lengte en omdat ik meestal hout kap tot maximum 20à25cm doorsnede.  Dikkere gaan ook maar zijn iets lastiger.  Het gemak waarmee je met deze bijl kan kloven is buiten mijn verwachtingen. Absoluut een aanrader!

Tengo un hacha tradicional como tantas hay en Galicia. Mango de madera (sigue siendo el mismo de hace 12 años) y una hoja eterna pero que pesa un quintal. Mi espalda ya no está para esos movimientos con tanto peso. Me echaba para atrás el asunto del cabo (mango) porque se me antojaba frágil, y me atraía la cuña incorporada. Me decidí (porque cuchillos y navajas comprados en esta web eran lo que prometían y nunca tuve decepciones) y definitivamente es la mejor compra que pude hacer. Pesa una tercera parte que el mío y si sabes "partir" (no es hacha de tala, ten eso en cuenta) salen los dos trozos disparados. El mango se ha llevado ya un par de golpes por debajo de la hoja y ni marca ha quedado. Muy satisfecho con el resultado.
