The KA-BAR Jarosz Choppa 7507 is a massive fixed knife that is a combination of a machete and a survival knife. Its length and relatively modest weight make it a good machete. At the same time the blade is thick and heavy enough to function as a survival knife. When building shelter or for wood work, but also when gathering wood the Jarosz Chopper can come in handy.
As you have grown accustomed to from KA-BAR the blade is made from 1095 carbon steel. 1095 carbon steel is easy to sharpen. So if you accidentally hit a knot you don't have to worry. You don't have to spend hours sharpening the knife. Even when you are out in the field with limited means.
The handle is made from Ultramid. This is a sustainable plastic that can withstand the elements. Due to the thicker parts at the end of the handle you have enough grip. We do recommend adding a paracord lanyard during the more demanding tasks. A large lanyard eye was added to make sure you can.
The Choppa comes with a MOLLE compatible sheath with plastic insert.
