The Kershaw CQC-10K is a cool hunting knife, designed by Ernest Emerson. He originally designed the Emerson Appalachian. Originally conceived as a hunting knife, but also great as a knife for everyday use.
Naturally, the Kershaw CQC-10K features Emerson's distinctive wave opening feature. This enables you to open the knife right when you take it out of your pocket. Simply pull the knife back to make sure the hook on the spine of the blade gets caught behind the edge of your pocket and the knife will open on its own. You can, of course, also open the blade “normally” with one hand by using the thumb disc.
The nice clip point shape of the blade was originally meant for hunting purposes. But this sharply pointed tip is also useful for opening boxes and packaging. The hollow grind means this knife cuts wonderfully well.
On the presentation side, the handle has a G10 scale. The lock side is made from stainless steel. Here you'll also find the steel frame lock that keeps the blade in place.
