The Kizer Yorkie is a practical compact EDC knife, designed by Ray Laconico. Characterizing for the Ray Laconico design style is the minimalist design that is comprised of organic wavy lines. Kizer made sure the look of the Yorkie is similar to other knives made by hand by Ray Laconico. Even de materials used, such as the titanium handle and the S35VN steel blade are similar.
The size of the Yorkie is, with a blade length of 6.5 cm, relatively small compared to many Kizer knives. Is that a bad thing? Not at all! On the contrary. Its size, in combination with its friendly design, have made the Yorkie perfect as an EDC knife. At the office, for instance, or a slightly more crowded area. The Yorkie can easily be opened with the flipper-mechanism after which the blade is locked by a solid framelock. Because the blade runs on ceramic ball bearings the Yorkie moves smoothly.
