This Le Creuset 3-ply frying pan with non-stick coating offers you ultimate ease of use, combined with renowned Le Creuset quality. The pan has a diameter of 20 cm, a super-strong non-stick coating and is made from forged aluminium. This material guarantees optimum heat distribution. It also means the pan is also a lot lighter than, for instance, cast iron, making it a lot more comfortable to use. The handle is made from cast steel and secured to the pan with stainless steel rivets. This handle makes it nice and easy to move the pan. An ideal pan for baking, frying and preparing the most delicious dishes!
Materials and construction
The pans from the Magnetik collection are comprised of a three-layer system, also referred to as 3-ply. They have two outer layers of stainless steel and an aluminium core. This sandwich construction is used throughout the pan, from the base to the rim. This ensures excellent heat conduction and also prevents hotspots. Thanks to this construction, the pans react quickly to changes in temperature from the hob. As a result, your dishes won't burn, so you can always cook your meal to perfection.
Use and maintenance
Le Creuset pans are extremely solid and will last for generations. That's why Le Creuset provides a lifelong guarantee. It doesn't matter whether you're cooking on induction, gas, or anything else. The pan can even be used in the oven, as long as it fits! To prevent damage to the non-stick coating, we recommend using wooden, silicone or plastic utensils. If used carefully, you can use metal cookware, but take care not to scratch the surface. Never cut any food in the pan. This could scratch the pan, which may affect the funtioning of the non-stick coating.
Always choose a suitable heat source and temperature for your pan. When using a gas hob, make sure that the flames never reach up the sides of the pan. Preferably use utensils made from wood, plastic or silicone. If used carefully, you can use metal cookware like forks and spoons, but take care not to scratch the surface. Never cut any food in the pan. Also make sure not to tap metal utensils on the edge of the pan. Light scratches may become visible with normal use but these do not affect the pan's functioning.
Always clean the pan well after use. Any leftover food or greasiness can become ingrained over time, which may affect the non-stick coating. This pot can be washed by hand or put in the dishwasher. Please bear in mind that washing it in the dishwasher may affect the non-stick coating, and the glossy finish may also become dull over time.
History of Le Creuset pans
The foundations for Le Creuset's success were laid way back in 1924 at the Brussels Stock Exchange. Armand Desaegher (specialist in cast iron) and Octave Aubecq (specialist in enamel) joined forces and decided to establish a company. This turned out to be a winning combination. Ever since 1925, they have been conquering the world with their enamel Le Creuset pans.
Le Creuset has continued to innovate throughout the years. Time and time again, they returned to the drawing board to develop new designs, models and colours. Le Creuset pans are simply superb. The name Le Creuset is synonymous with top quality and innovation. Whether you're looking for a casserole dish, grill pan, frying pan or saucepan: Le Creuset has got you covered!
