The LionSteel KUR is a stunning Italian pocket knife, designed by Michele 'moletta' Pensato. The beautiful lines in this design stand out. This typical example of Italian design doesn't only look amazing, it also feels great in hand. The handle is made from stunning Santos wood. Really beautiful. A grip pattern was milled out for more grip. The blade is made from Sleipner steel from Austria. This is a type of tool steel that is known for its great balance between sharpness retention and strength. Do, however, be careful around moisture and (fruit)acids: Tool steel is only partially stain So clean and dry it after use. The blade is enhanced with a cool PVD stonewashed finish. It is very forgiving when it comes to traces of use. As such it is the perfect choice for daily use.
The blade runs on ball bearings and therefore moves smoothly. It is therefore not surprising it will open quickly with the flipper. When opened the blade is kept in place by a solid liner lock. The remarkable aspect of the KUR with wooden handle is that you can also remove the flipper. The knife comes with a torx key with which you can easily remove the flipper. To fill the hole you can use the included screw. By removing the flipper is suddenly becomes a more fancy knife that can be opened with two hands.
The LionSteel KUR is great knife for daily use. An epitome of Italian design, combined with technical perfection.
