Even though the SR1 is a quite robust knife, the Italian design has managed to give it a graceful appearance. The handle has been milled from a single piece of titanium. The back of the handle has holes in it, this way the knife is not too heavy. The broad blade is made of Sleipner steel and can easily be opened with one hand. Because the thumb rests are on both sides of the blade, right- as well as left-handed users will have no problems with this.
The back of the blade has ridges to provide some extra grip. A sound frame lock blocks the blade. The end of the frame lock is protected by a piece of extra hardened steel and can be replaced if necessary.
If you want to, you can block the blade with the RotoBlock System, which almost turns it into a fixed blade knife. This proves that, however beautiful the knife may look, it is still first and foremost made for hard work.
The knife is supplied in a wooden box, which also contains a small tool to mount the pocket clip and adjust the hinge if needed. To store the knife in this beautiful wooden box after use is definitely a refined finishing touch.
