The Microplane Garlic Cutter is a convenient garlic grater with which you, obviously, grate garlic. The nice thing about it is you are not risking your fingers in the process. With old-fashioned garlic presses you have to put a lot of pressure on it. This grater works differently. You slide the lid back and forth against the grater. At the same time you move the garlic along the grater and your fingers do not come close to the grating.

After grating you simply remove the grater from the container. The have added a small spatula with which you can slide all the processed garlic out.
