The **MKM Maximo Green Anodized Titanium** is a robust pocket knife, designed by Bob Terzuola. He is considered to be one of the fathers of the modern tactical knife. His designs have been at the forefront of the pocket knife world for more than 30 years. The MKM Maximo has many of the design elements we have seen before on his handmade knives. Think of the subtle swedge on the spine of the blade and the shape of the flipper. Typical for Terzuola.

The blade is made from Böhler M390. This is a type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is incredibly wear-and-tear-resistant. It is also very stainless. The blade is 4 mm thick. That's quite a lot! But for a pocket knife that was meant to be used, these additional millimetres can definitely come in handy. You open the blade with the flipper or with one of the thumb studs. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a frame lock.

The frag pattern on the handle looks amazing. You often see this pattern on tactical pocket knives, so we're not surprised to see it on the Maximo. It doesn't only look amazing, it also offers additional grip. This version of the MKM Maximo is enhanced with a handle made from titanium. This gives the knife a nice weight.

MKM placed a screw at the end of which the head features a glass breaker. With the same screw you secure the pocket clip. Not a fan of the glassbreaker? The knife comes with a replacement screw with a flat head.

## What are the origins of MKM Knives?

MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city of Maniago in northern Italy. It is the knife capital of the south of Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers.
