The Morakniv Companion Spark is a practical and affordable bushcraft knife, with built-in firesteel. Simply click it out at the end of the handle and you can start making a fire right away.
The name Companion already suggests that the knife's design is based on this famous model. It is indeed similar in terms of its shape, materials and ergonomics. The blade is made from Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel. This is a stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. The traditional Scandi edge is great for woodworking, and the blade length is just right for many bushcraft tasks.
The spine of the blade has been sharpened, so you can easily use it in combination with a firesteel. Sparks will fly! It also comes in handy when scraping wood to make tinder.
When you need to rely on a firesteel in the wild, it has to be properly secured. That is why Mora came up with a practical click system. Turn slightly to the right to loosen it, and turn to the left to secure it again.
The Morakniv Companion Spark comes with a plastic sheath. This sheath has a belt loop that can be attached to belts up to 4.5 cm.
