The Nitecore TIP CRI 2017 is a rechargeable keychain flashlight. The light has an output of 240 ANSI lumens. Quite a lot for a torch this size! Especially when you consider that this light is rechargeable. Compared to the older TIP CRI model, this 2017 model has a handy clip, a daily mode and a constantly on mode. The body is made from aluminium. Solidly constructed, for years of use.
The NiteCore TIP CRI 2017 has a Nichia 219B LED with a CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of 90. This LED has a maximum light output of 240 ANSI lumens and a minimum light output of just 1 ANSI lumen. Use the two switches on the wide top of the body to turn on the TIP CRI 2017 and change between the different modes. There is a small LED in the switches. This light tells you more about the battery status.
The integrated battery is a 500mAh Li-ion cell. You can charge the flashlight via the micro-USB port. The cable for this is not included, but chances are you already own one, as it is the same micro-USB used for many mobile devices.
- Turbo (240 lumens, 30 min*)
- High (95 lumens, 1 hour 30 min)
- Mid (22 lumens, 6 hours 30 min)
- Low (1 lumen, 46 hour)
*calculated theoretically because the Turbo is a separate, temporary light mode
