The **Spyderco Manix 2 REX45 Burnt Orange C101GPBORE2 Sprint Run** is an incredibly solid pocket knife. It is also one of Spyderco's most famous pocket knives ever produced. Once in hand you immediately notice why. The Manix 2 is an ergonomic marvel. Because of the curves and the royal finger grooves in the G10 handle this knife feels really comfortable in hand.

 You open the Manix 2 with Spyderco's characterizing round thumb hole. When opened the blade is locked by a solid ball bearing lock. A robust but user-friendly lock that also ensures that you can easily open and close the pocket knife. The Manix 2 is meant for heavy-duty use and can therefore handle its own. Because of the finger groove at the start of the blade you can, however, also easily use the Manix 2 for the more detailed cutting jobs. When you place your index finger here you have a lot of control over the knife.

 This Sprint Run edition of the Military is enhanced with a blade made from REX45 steel. An incredibly wear and tear resistant type of tool steel. Retains its sharpness well, but isn't 100% stainless. So be careful around fruit acids and salt water.

An sich überzeugt das Messer mit Klingengeometrie und Material, doch der Ball-bearing-lock ist anfangs sehr schwer zu betätigen.
Es wurde besser nachdem ich das Messer zerlegt habe und die Klinge an der Fläche wo der Ball anliegt etwas angefast habe.
Das sollte in dieser Preisklasse kein Problem sein.
Zudem sind einige feinere Bauteile zu finden, wodurch ich ohnehin den Compression-lock empfehlen würde.
