The Spyderco Subvert C239GPOR is an impressive pocket knife. The Subvert was designed by Nati Amor, an Israeli goldsmith and world-famous knife maker. The Subvert is therefore directly derived from the Sabotage. This is one of his most popular handmade knives that rose to fame because of the dramatic shape of the blade.
The blade is made from CPM S30V steel. A strong type of steel that, like the Subvert, can handle quite a lot. For the handle Spyderco selected a titanium liner construction and orange G10. These titanium liners are enhanced with skeletonizing, this means that the titanium has milled pockets. As a result Spyderco was able to keep the Subvert relatively light-weight despite its size. The titanium has a dark finish which is in great contrast with the orange. The G10 handle has been enhanced with a light texture for additional grip. The pivot has also been enhanced and has, like the titanium, a dark finish. A remarkable detail is that the handle is tapered at the pivot. This means that the handle is thicker at the pocket clip than at the pivot. As such it properly fills your hand during use.
With the Subvert Spyderco clearly demonstrates how they are capable of producing remarkable, top-quality pocket knives. Once in hand you feel how impressive this pocket knife is.
