TOPS Mini Scandi Folder 4.0 MSF-4.0 pocket knife
The TOPS Mini Scandi Folder 4.0 is a handy pocket knife for lighter bushcraft tasks. This pocket knife was designed by Leo Espinoza from TOPS Knives and then produced by Maserin in Italy. The result is a sturdy pocket knife with a Scandi edge, ideal for woodworking.
As the name suggests, this pocket knife is based on the TOPS Mini Scandi knife, the fixed version. Since this is a hugely successful model, several variations have already appeared, and this is the first pocket knife version.
The blade is made from Böhler N690Co steel, a very corrosion-resistant steel with great sharpness retention. The Scandi edge is easy to sharpen, and highly suited to woodcarving. However, it is still a pocket knife, so you should always be a little careful - it is more suitable for lighter cutting tasks, and not for batoning.
The frame is constructed from steel liners and micarta handles. The steel liners form a liner lock that holds the blade in place. You open this knife with the flipper. With a firm whip, the blade then flips open, and you can get to it.
The winning combination of American outdoor design from the experienced TOPS and the fine production of Italian manufacturer Maserin makes the TOPS Mini Scandi Folder a highly desirable outdoor pocket knife.
