The other part of the handle is made of carbon. A high quality lightweight material that gives the knife a luxurious look. The spacer that holds the two handles apart at the pommel is nicely decorated and offers a wide opening to attach a lanyard.
Chris Reeve has a great tip for knives that have a titanium lock-bar: because of the difference in material (titanium and steel) the lock can move with some difficulty over the lock-face. The lock-face being the back of the blade where the at the point where it can lock. A little graphite (pencil point) on the titanium lock-bar resolves this very simple. This highly recommended, also for other knives with a titanium lock-bar.
