The **Benchmade Bugout 535-12 Stonewashed CPM S30V Tan Grivory** is a super lightweight and affordable pocket knife, made in the US. The 535 Bugout is designed for hikers who pay attention to every gram. At 55 grams and with an 8.2 cm blade, this knife is definitely the answer they have been looking for. The Bugout is ideal for preparing food, making feather sticks to light your fire and opening packages. This version in Tan Grivory has a less striking appearance than the bright blue original Bugout. 

## Benchmade Bugout CPM S30V blade

The blade is made from CPM S30V steel with a hardness of 58-60 HRC. It has a very thin edge. Perfectly sharpened for peeling an apple. CPM S30V is corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness very well. It is also easy to sharpen.

## Benchmade Bugout Grivory handle

Grivory was chosen for the handle of the Benchmade 535 Bugout. This is a lightweight type of plastic that is remarkably strong for its weight. The knife features steel liners at the front of the handle for additional strength around the lock. Usually, the Axis lock is equipped with a steel pin. To save weight, Benchmade has fitted the Bugout with a titanium variant. Just a little lighter.

The Benchmade 535 Bugout is enhanced with a slightly shorter deep-carry pocket clip. Less steel means less weight: another detail that was carefully thought through. You can place the clip on either side, making it the perfect knife for both left-handed and right-handed use.​

Ik ben zeer tevreden net mijn Benchmade Bugout. Door de hoge slijping en het niet te dikke lemmet merk je telkens weer hoe graag dit mes snijdt. Oppassen met de vingers, dus. Het komt vlijmscherp uit de doos.

Voor de looks heb ik er Flytanium custom scales opgezet, in stonewashed titanium. Die geven het mes toch meer stabiliteit als de grivory scales. Als kers op de taart een kopern thumbstud en een koperen lock bar button. Die maken het voor mij helemaal af.

Normaal geef ik de voorkeur aan een wat groter mes (Spyderco Manix 2, CR Sebenza, etc.) Maar als de gelegenheid vraagt om wat meer discretie, is de Bugout een absolute winnaar.

Excelente navaja EDC, muy, muy ligera y resistente. Buena retención de filo.
De lo mejor que he comprado últimamente.
