The polish tape of Edge Pro is used in the final step of the sharpening process to polish the fold of your knife until it is smooth as glass. The tape is connected to the special aluminium or ultra-smooth glass mounting plates. You can keep using the tapes as long as they are operative. Even if you accidently damage the tape once with your (sharp!) knife it can normally still be used.

Nachdem ich bei mehreren Messern jeglicher Art mit den normalen Edge Pro 
Schleifsteine schon eine Spiegelpolitur hinbekommen habe, setzen diese  Polierbänder nochmal einen drauf.
Das Ergebnis ist der Wahnsinn.
Muß man nicht unbedingt haben aber als letzten Kick absolut empfehlenswert.!!!!!

The tape is good, It does the job well and produces a polished edge in no time. However it is very prone to damage. and when damaged you have to replace it which can become expensive. I damaged quite a few strips in the beginning but as I'm getting better they last a lot longer.
