The **Ontario RAT 3** is a solid survival knife with a blade made from 1095 carbon steel. This is strong type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The extremely sustainable powder coating on the blade protects it from the increased corrosion sensitivity of the carbon steel. That is why we recommend to keep this knife dry and possibly slightly greasy. The wonderful usage qualities of the steel guarantee a lifetime of pleasure. The knife is enhanced with a micarta handle The handle feels slightly coarse which is great because it is comfortable to hold and offers enough grip.

The RAT-3 is relatively modest in terms of size and therefore compact and manageable. It is great to always have a knife close when you go out in nature. A knife that is large enough to work with and is also compact enough to comfortably carry with you. And with a weight of no less than 140 grams also great for EDC use.

The ergonomics of the handle are excellent. The handle is enhanced with a curve for your index finger. The heel of the blade also has one of these curves. If you put your index finger in that curve you can place your thumb on the blade. The ridges on top of the blade are in just the right place for your thumb and provide you with additional grip. As such you have more control over the knife.

The back of the knife has a large hole for a lanyard. The back of the blade runs throughout the handle. As such you can also use the knife as a hammer. Although it is not a real glass breaker, given the heavy version, this knife can break through a thick layer of glass.

This Ontario RAT-3 comes with a solid nylon sheath. With the sheath you can always safely take the knife with you and it is MOLLE compatible.

Très satisfait du produit et du site comme toujours !

Comme prévu, c'est un couteau qui donne confiance tout de suite. 
Le tranchant d'origine est très correct. Juste un passage au cuir pour fignoler. 
Mais comme j'ai des grandes mains, j'ai trouvé la poignée un peu courte et pas trop épaisse. 
Par contre l'étuis est assez décevant. 

Franchement une très bonne lame, moins chère que son concurrent direct, et l'etui permet un port horizontal ce qui me convient tout à fait, je ne sais pas si j'ai eu de la chance mais le mien est arrivé rasoir

Magnifique petit couteau, simple et efficace, livré dans sa boîte.
J'avais Vu des vidéos qui critiquaient le manche un peu court, je mesure 1,85 et mes 4 doigts tiennent dessus...il est parfait pour moi.
Vraiment à ce prix là, il ne faut pas hésiter à mon avis.

Un bon couteau fixe, après passage au cuir coupe incroyablement bien. À l'air solide, à voir dans le temps, il manque de peu la cinquième étoile pour sa pochette que je n'utiliserai pas, je suis parti sur celle de l'esee 3 à la place.
