Full description
The Benchmade 15061 Grizzly Ridge is an all-round hunting knife, based on the popular Grizzly Creek. It has the same blade shape, but a completely different handle and lacks the gut hook. This makes the Grizzly Ridge even more versatile and perfectly suited for EDC use.
The Benchmade Grizzly Ridge has a CPM S340 steel blade. An American powder metallurgical steel grade. Sounds difficult, but it is important for you to know that this is high-tech steel with excellent properties for a pocket knife. Good sharpness retention, excellent rust resistance and pretty good to sharpen yourself
Benchmade used a relatively new type of material for the handle: Versaflex. A light-weight thermo-plastic that feels great in hand. The handle is equipped with steel liners, to provide the blade with the required rigidity.
The Grizzly Ridge is easily opened by hand. When opened, the known Axis-lock keeps the blade securely locked. In terms of construction this pocket knife is completely symmetric. As such it is perfect for both left and right-handed use. The pocket clip is placed for right-handed use, but with the Torx T6 screwdriver you can easily change it for left-handed use.
So, are you looking for a light weighted pocket knife with a large blade for daily chores? If so the Benchmade Freek is a great choice!
