The **Benchmade Meatcrafter 4050-02 Stonewashed CPM-154, Maple Valley Richlite Black G10** is a hybrid hunting knife. It's made for outdoor use, to gut game while hunting, but it's also great in the kitchen to process the meat. To make the Meatcrafter even sharper, Benchmade used their *SelectEdge* sharpening method on this knife. This means that the edge is sharpened at a 14-degree angle for optimum sharpness. The blade is only 2 mm thick and has a fillet-style blade shape.




The blade of the Benchmade Meatcrafter 4050-02 Stonewashed CPM-154, Maple Valley Richlite Black G10, hunting knife measures 16 cm in length and 2.5 mm in thickness. The total length is 28 cm.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.
