The Böker Tirpitz Damast Gold Limited Edition BO110194DAM is an exclusive and special pocket knife. The name Tirpitz might sound familiar, especially when you think of the history books about the Second World War. Tirpitz is the name of the sister ship of the Bismarck. To this day, the largest European warship ever built. This ship sank off the coast of Norway in 1944. Divers resurfaced parts of the ship's special steel for Böker, and Böker asked Andreas Henrich's to turn it into carbon damask steel. That steel was used for this knife. A piece of history within your reach. To make this knife even more special, the blade is also gilded with real gold. The screws and pocket clip are also gold plated. An exclusive finish for a remarkable pocket knife.

Expectations
This knife obviously isn't made for everyone. It has a prohibitive price point, and some may feel it looks like a gas station knife. For those who like gold, handmade knives, and an interest in WWII history. This knife could be for you! Overall this knife met/exceeded all my expectations. I definitely feel comfortable recommending this to anyone who may be on the fence. I only hope I can find someone able to fit a piece of gold camo fat carbon to replace the walnut. Much like the Leopard-Damascus III Gold.
