Chris Reeve Large Inkosi Natural Micarta Tanto LIN-1046 pocket knife

The Chris Reeve Inkosi Large is a high-end pocket knife, designed by knife maker Chris Reeve. Inkosi means Chief in Zulu. This is the newer incarnation of the famous Sebenza 25 model, but still has its own features. The oversized pivot is present and the additional finger cut-out in the handle also isn't missing. Like with the Sebenza 25 the stand-off and lanyard pin are one at the back of the handle. And what about the thumb stud that is located on both sides of the blade. The blade is 8% thicker than that of the Sebenza 25 and enhanced with the Large hollow grind. As such the knife will last even longer after sharpening, without sacrificing strength. This version has a tanto blade. Great for penetrating tasks for which you need an extra strong tip. As is common for high-end pocket knives Chris Reeve enhanced the Inkosi with a ceramic detent ball.

The real differences, however, can be found in the gigantic oversized washers. They only barely fit inside the handle, that is how big they are. In combination with the thick pivot this guarantees a knife that moves smoothly. The washer on the lockside is enhanced with an angular cut-out to make sure the lockbar can pass it. Because there is a protrusion on the washers towards the stop pin they cannot rotate. This stop pin is even stronger than the one on the Sebenza 25. The pocket clip is also turned a couple of degrees so that it falls on the frame and not on the lockbar. The Jimping is milled in a beautiful pattern. Like all Chris Reeve knives the Chris Reeve Inkosi is razor-sharp upon delivery.

The Chris Reeve Inkosi comes with a set of Allen keys, fluorinated grease and loctite 222MS.
