The CRKT Ignitor is a pocket knife with a unique opening system known as the FireSafe thumb stud system. This means that you open the knife quickly when you firmly press the button on the side. The assisted opening feature helps to open the knife with ease. It is necessary to press the thumb rest because otherwise the blade is locked. This prevents it from ever opening accidentally in your pocket.
