The Extrema Ratio Mamba is a slim fixed knife with a distinctive tanto shape. The Mamba is named after the famous Mamba snakes, mainly found in Africa. Just like its namesake, the Mamba is sleek and slender. And dangerous, too. The blade is made from stainless Böhler N690 steel. This steel retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. The blade is a tanto, a pointed shape that is especially effective at piercing. There is a groove in each side to save even more weight and thus improve the overall balance. The handle is made from durable Forprene plastic. It's comfortable in hand, even after a long period of use. The blade has a sturdy tang that can be seen at the end of the handle.
But the Mamba's top asset is its sheath. It has been optimised to be carried in a MOLLE system. It fits in the loops and also has two clamps that you can use to secure it between those loops. Of course, you can also use these clips to simply carry the knife on your belt or bag. The Extrema Ratio's sheath also has a click system so you can even carry the sheath upside down. Even in the most extreme conditions, this click system keeps the knife in the sheath. Which provides a lot of peace of mind in situations where you need to rely on your knife.
|Finish blade||Black Oxide MIL-C-13924|

I have a large collection of Extrema Ratio knifes, the fit and finish is, as always outstanding. The issue I had with the Mamba was that it was not up to the usual high standards on sharpness, actually it wouldn’t cut paper. Ran it through the KME and is now scary sharp. Cheers Mike
