The **Fällkniven S1W** is a top-quality outdoor knife, perfect for many different users. Bushcraft and survival enthusiasts, hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts have known for years that Fällkniven produces amazing knives This S1W is a test version of the famous S1.



## Fällkniven S1W with VG10W steel


For this version Fällkniven tried a new type of steel: VG10W. This is the famous VG10-steel, but additional tungsten was added to the alloy. As such the steel is much stronger and retains its sharpness even better. At least: in the Fällkniven tests. They are looking for confirmation and user experiences. That is why they produced this test collection of the S1. Only a small amount of knives to find out more about your experiences as a user.



The Fällkniven S1 is also called the 'Forest Knife'. It was originally designed as a knife for outdoor enthusiasts who spend a lot of time in the woods. Its blade length is slightly bigger than the F1, but not as massive as the A1.



## Fällkniven’s convex grind


Like all fixed Fällkniven knives this knife was enhanced with a convex grind. This has important advantages. A convex edge, for instance, can be sharpened razor-sharp, is relatively stong and offers less cutting resistance. The 'shoulders' that are usually located on a regular v-edge in the transition from the edge to the side of the blade, are namely missing. As such using a convex edge is absolutely amazing.
