The Rick Hinderer Slippy is a tough slipjoint pocket knife with different amazing features. This pocket knife is designed as such that it is legal to carry in many places in Europe. When opened the blade is namely kept in place by a slipjoint. This isn't an actual lock, but more like a slight resistance.
You open the blade with the adjustable thumb plate. With it you can determine in which spot you will have more grip on the thumb plate with your thumb. You can also completely remove the thumb plate to make sure you cannot open it with one hand. With the included mini allen key you can carefully loosen the screw and also tightening the screw needs to be done carefully.
The blade on this Rick Hinderer Slippy is made from CPM 20CV steel. It is a premium type of steel which is extremely stainless and retains its sharpness well. A nice DLC coating makes the blade look very sleek. This specific blade shape is something Rick Hinderer calls the Slicer. This means that the blade is great for slicing, for instance, food.
The handle is made from G10. It is a great, incredibly strong material that offers you enough grip. As befits Rick Hinderer the ergonomics are amazing. You have finger grooves for enough grip.
