The **Spyderco Brouwer C232GTIP** is a practical EDC pocket knife, designed by Dutch knife maker Jerry Brouwer. His custom 'Flanker' design was modified by Spyderco during a year-long collaboration. The result is this Spyderco Brouwer.



In the Dutch knife world Jerry Brouwer has definitely earned his stripes. He has an uncompromising dedication to quality. He always uses the best possible materials and will continue until it cannot get any better. With this mind-set he also designed the Spyderco Brouwer. The knife that literally carries his name. On different knife forums Brouwer also refers to himself as 'Halloween'. Hence the logo with the carved pumpkin on the right side of the blade.



As befits a real Brouwer knife this pocket knife was also produced by those who can do it best: the Spyderco Taichung factory. This Taiwanese Spyderco factory is known for its exceptional detail-oriented work. The production of this Spyderco C232GTIP Brouwer is another amazing example of that fact.



The blade is made from CPM S30V steel. An American type of steel that was developed with Spyderco founder Sal Glesser. S30V offers a great balance between corrosion resistance, sharpness retention and how easy it is to sharpen. Within the Spyderco range it is one of the most recurring types of steel. But also outside of the Spyderco range.



Two different materials were used for the handle: G10 and titanium. The showside is made from stunning dark green G10. The lockside is made from titanium. To guarantee a very long lifespan the solid framelock is enhanced with a steel insert.



When you hold the Spyderco Brouwer you immediately feel that Brouwer paid close attention to ergonomics. Just before the handle the blade is enhanced with an additional finger groove to make sure you have a lot of control over the handle. The thin blade is amazing to use.

Deze Spyderco Brouwer nu al enkele maanden op zak en het is mijn favoriete edc geworden. 
Daar heeft Jerry ‘m ook speciaal voor ontworpen, every day carry.
Dit zegt wel wat want ik heb 60+ messen in bezit van zowel custom en fabriek.

Vernuftige ingebouwde “stoppin”, geweldige fit en finish en heerlijke ergonomie typeren dit mes.

Ik heb wel even moeten wennen aan de pocketclip daar ik deze liefst low carry draag maar ik heb wel vertrouwen gekregen in de huidige. Daarbij pak je je mes nu makkelijker uit je zak en zit deze clip bij gebruik niet in de weg.

De washers zijn wel iets kleiner dan dat ik graag op mijn mes zie maar tot nu zit het mes als een tank in elkaar. Centrering perfect, nul spelling!

Ik ben erg trots op dit model van Nederlandse bodem, gemaakt door spyderco in hun beste fabriek.

Mooi voor Jerry dat de “flanker” in productie is geraakt, zeker nu hij ze zelf niet meer kan maken. Mes-kundig man, zie je in dit mes terug!

Spyderco doet ook met bepaalde messen aan goede doelen mee. 
Pink ribbon, warrior foundation bijv. Zou mooi zijn dat een gedeelte van de opbrengst van dit mes naar parkinson zou gaan...
