Ok this is a ridiculously expensive knife for what it is, at first sight. Ok there's a bit of a premium for Magnacut until it becomes common place but its still pricey. BUT. This knife feels very nice to handle. Its difficult to explain without handling it, but it feels solid substantially with excellent tolerances. The pivot is very smooth and will open and close with just the weight of the blade, it'll even bounce if you flip it too hard. The grind of the blade is gorgeous. The knife is beautifully sharpened as good as any I have had out the box. There is some lateral movement on lock up at the pivot which probably needs a tighten certainly if you were thinking of heavy use. I have used it for general stuff around the house and its been fine. Fiddling about cleaning some insets on wood for dropping metal plates into. A bit of general DIY on picture framing and some assorted cutting. Nothing heavy duty. The knife has been great, and I have not even needed to strop it so I am guessing the heat treatment is good. Is it really expensive? Yep. Do I regret buying it? No.
