The **TSPROF K03 Master Kit sharpening system** is a professional and exceptionally advanced Russian sharpening system. If doesn't get any more accurate than this. The system is robust, rock-solid and easy to assemble. This is TSPROF's most complete sharpening system

The K03 collection is the successor to the K02-collection, where the major updates can be found in how you determine the angle and can easily hang the sharpening arm. As such the arm will never get in the way as you turn the knife. Thanks to the automatic 'lock' after a 180 degree turn of the adjustable clamp, you will always use the same sharpening angle on both sides of the edge. As such the perfect results are guaranteed.

 ### Assembling the sharpening system

 Assembling the sharpening system for the first time could be tricky at first. Don't worry, the system comes with a manual. This manual tells you step by step how to assemble the system

 ### Determining the sharpening angle

 You can set the sharpening angle between 7 and 23 degrees (for a total sharpening angle from 14 to 46 degrees). As such all intermediate values are possible. You don't determine the angle in steps. TSPROF states that you can determine the angle with a precision of 0.05 mm. By turning the rotatable knobs you adjust the sharpening angle. The Master Kit comes with a digital and analogue angle meter. As such you can double-check whether you are using the right angle. There is also another way to determine the sharpening angle. Use a marker to colour the edge. Afterwards move over the edge once or twice with the finest sharpening stone. If the angle is right you will immediately remove the part you marked. Do you still see some colour? If so you know that the sharpening stone never touched that part of the edge. Based on this knowledge you can adjust the sharpening angle.

 ### Including six sharpening stones and a double-sided strop

This decent sharpening system comes with five different sharpening stones. The grain sizes are 120, 220, 400, 600 and 1000. As such you can sharpen your blunt knives in five stages. You will need approximately 10 minutes to do so.

 In addition to the five silicon carbide TSPROF sharpening stones this set also contains a Venev diamond-coated double-sided sharpening stone, extra course and coarse. Great to quickly remove material.

 This set is complete with the included strop and two different compounds. This leaves a mirrored finish on your edge and takes care of a razor-sharp result.

 TSPROF uses the FEPA F[indication for the grain size](/en/ct/expressing-grain-sizes-sharpening-stones.htm) of the sharpening stones. This does not correspond with the better known Japanese grain sizes. The TSPROF sharpening stones appear to be coarse but are finer than you might think. Below a clear comparison:

### Adjustable clamp

Sharpened the first side of the knife? If so you don't have to remove the knife from the clamp, you only have to turn the arm. If you have turned it exactly 180 degrees a magnet will once again secure the arm. When developing the K03-collection the aim was to develop a sharpening system where turning the knife would be effortless. Thanks to this advanced rotating mechanism you will also always use the same sharpening angle on both sides.

 ### Suspension

 With this new model it is also possible to let the arm rest on the system. Never worry about putting the arm down again.
