The **Zwilling Life compact chef's knife** is a nicely balanced kitchen knife. The blade is only 14 cm long, making the knife relatively light-weight. As befits a chef's knife it is incredibly versatile. Whether you wish to cut meat, fish or vegetables or finely chop herbs: with this compact chef's knife it will be a piece of cake.


The blade is made from ice-hardened steel. The result is the right hardness of the steel. The quality of the steel convinces with an optimal balance of chromium and carbon content. According to Zwilling this leaves you with the perfect mix between hardness, sharpness retention, ability to sharpen and resistance to chipping. 


The ergonomically shaped handle feels great in hand, even in large hands. The handle is relatively rough. As such it feels comfortable, even while wearing gloves or when your hands are wet. The handle is enhanced with the characterizing Zwilling logo.


The transition from the crop to the blade is seamless. This is ergonomically sound, but also great in terms of hygiene. However, we recommend cleaning the knives by hand. When you clean them in your dishwasher the blade and handle can wear out faster.
