This **Zwilling Twin Grip utility knife** is incredibly practical for daily use. This relatively light-weight knife is made from top-quality materials. The plastic handle is ergonomically shaped and seamlessly merges with the blade. As such bacteria cannot accumulate underneath the handle, making these knives incredibly hygienic.


The blade is made from ice-hardened Friodur steel. During this process the steel is heated in 4 stages to 1000°C and cooled to-70 °C. Zwilling perfected this technique, and guarantees optimum sharpness, sustainability, elasticity and corrosion resistance.


After the hardening process the blade is sharpened in five steps. The result is a perfectly sharpened knife. The crop of the knife does not extend to the edge of the blade to make sure you can easily sharpen it on a sharpening stone.


Thanks to the seamless construction and the materials used, knives from the Zwilling Twin Grip collection are dishwasher proof. We do, however, recommend washing them by hand because the detergent in a dishwasher can affect the knives in the long run.

Overall it's a good quality sharp knife, but its curved shape makes it difficult to cut straight, the knift keeps drifting to the side. I didn't like it much for this reason. Also price is a bit high.

Het mes is loeischerp. Echt oppassen bij het gebruik.

Vroeger had men bij Zwilling een geweldige botermesje met schuine rechte voorzijde. Die is vervangen door deze mes en een andere die een scherpe punt heeft. Beide zijn bruikbaar maar geen vervangers van de oude botermesje. Met geen van beide nieuwe messen kunt je het boter uit het kuipje volledig krijgen. Het punt is te scherp bij de ene of rond bij deze mes is daar niet voor geschikt. Prima messen maar geen vervangers. Onbegrijpelijk van Zwilling.
