The TRC Knives South Pole is a robust and cool survival knife, made in Lithuania. The source of inspiration for the South Pole was Roald Amundsen. This Norwegian explorer was the first man to ever reach the South Pole. He was known for his excellent preparation with which he could handle all possible situations. With the TRC South Pole you will be just as prepared!
The TRC Knives South Pole has a blade made from Böhler Elmax steel. A strong type of steel that is corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness for a long time. The flat grind is applied by hand in the TRC workshop. This rarely happens with production knives. With a 4.4 mm blade thickness you will always have enough strength in hands for survival tasks. At the same time the edge is nice and thin to make sure the knife cuts properly.
The handle is made from micarta. It might be hard to see on the photograph, but the surface has been enhanced with a subtle diamond pattern. As a result you will have even more grip over the knife. Because the curved tang of the blade protrudes just a mm outside of the handle your hand will fill it even better. The, for TRC typical, screws with the three holes add to the knife and really turn the whole into something remarkable.
The TRC Knives South Pole comes with a stunning kydex sheath. It beautifully fits around the knife, you can definitely tell that a lot of attention was paid to it. The sheath is enhanced with a flexible belt loop with can also be converted for left-handed use. Of course you are also free to select your own mounting method and screw this to the mountings holes. Please note: kydex almost always leaves minor scratches on the blade by sliding in and out. This is normal.
