The Zero Tolerance 0450CF is a high-quality pocket knife, designed by Dmitry Sinkevich. This is a second production model based on the hugely popular ZT0454. This 0450CF is nice and slim, lightweight but not less solid. One of the sides of the handle of the 450CF is made of carbon fiber the knife only weighs 69 grams, compared to 85 grams of the ZT 0450.
Premium materials, premium finish
The CPM S35VN-steel blade of the 0450CF is razor sharp. S35VN is a powder metallurgical steel which can be sharpened to a very sharp result. The handle is made of titanium which makes it nice and low in weight, especially considering its size! The blade and handle have a DLC coating. This is very resistant and gives the knife a sturdy look. The grip parts between the two handles are bright green anodized. A beautiful detail and a nice contrast with the black handle parts.
More than ‘just’ a beautiful knife
Using the Zero Tolerance 0450CF leaves nothing to be desired. It feels really comfortable and opens smoothly via the KVT-ball bearings. The flipper helps flick the blade open, without using a spring. The blade locks in open position by a very solid frame-lock. To prevent the titanium lock-bar to scratch on the steel of the blade, it has a steel insert. This way you’ll have steel-on-steel friction, which doesn’t wear as much. This insert plays a double role as a so-called "overtravelstop". This means that the locking mechanism cannot over stretch during unlocking.
The Zero Tolerance 0450CF is due to its small dimensions and weight an ideal EDC pocket knife. It has a blade length of 8.3 cm, making it usable for all kinds of different things.
