The Cold Steel Finn Wolf is the pocket-knife alternative to the well-known Finnish Puukko-knives. These are fixed blades that are used a lot in Finland and the rest of Scandinavia. Characteristic to these knives is the bare scandi-grind which is really easy to sharpen. This works really well when cutting wood.


The blade of the Cold Steel Finn Wolf is made of Japanese AUS8A-steel. A kind of steel which can be sharpened to an extremely sharp result. Opening the knife is simple with one hand by using either of the thumb studs. In the opened position the blade locks via the well- known Tri-Ad lock. One of the strongest locks out there.


The Cold Steel Finn Wolf comes with a tip-up pocket clip that can be carried on both sides. This makes it easy to use for lefties and righties!

Lees de review van Robbert uit Voorthuizen, daar kan ik me goed in vinden. Ik heb het mes vooral voor houtbewerking gebruikt en het bevalt me prima. Stroppen na gebruik houdt de snede lang scherp, langer dan verwacht. Ook ik heb de duimpin er gelijk afgehaald. Het is geen mooi mes, zeker niet. Dit mes gewoon flink gebruiken, daar is het voor bedoeld. Twijfel je over de aanschaf, te duur of te goedkoop? Ik heb er geen spijt van. Het is een prima aanvulling. 

Zeer licht! Hij is wel kleiner als verwacht. Door het lichte gewicht krijg ik wel de twijfels of je hier mee flink aan de haal kan gaan. Voor nu een leuke fruit schiller erbij.

Mijn oude Cold Steel Lawman was aan vervanging toe, dus gekeken bij de Cold Steel sectie. Mijn favoriete messenmerk. Was op zoek naar een lichtgewicht, niet te klein, maar vooral degelijk EDC- mes. Kwam uit bij deze Finnwolf.
Groot genoeg voor alle voorkomende taken, werkelijk vlijmscherp uit de doos en voor een prima prijs. Vooral het lage gewicht en de Triad- lock maken dit een prima keuze.
Zoek je een no-nonsense mes voor alle dingen die op je dagelijks pad komen, is dit er eentje waar je naar zou moetrn kijken.
Laat het Grivex-heft je niet afschrikken, het is oerdegelijk.
