A beautiful knife, and a lovely size for someone like me who takes XL in gloves. Can't hand out 5 stars across the because the damned thing sticks in the open position, and it's a job to get the Axis mechanism to let go. Can't be fagged to send it back to the Netherlands, but have some KPL on its way, and hopefully a drop of that will do the job. However, this is reminiscent of Benchmade's quality control issues of yesteryear. Let's hope it's a QC glitch (just my luck!), and not something endemic.

If you have big hands this knife is for you. Super comfy handle, nice Jimping, feels solid and classy. Blade is like a razor and flicks open with ease. I know some people may beg to differ but I think the orange accents look great. I'd describe it as a modern classic and I highly recommend it.

This knife was soooooo sharp out of the box - as I've found with all the Benchmade knives I bought. (S30V or S20V). One only has to look at them to cut ones' self!! The price of these knives can seem a bit high but they are well worth the money & actually represent great value IMO. The locking mechanism is the smoothest I have come across, so far & it alone sells the knives IMO. Comfort in the hand is outstanding - the balance & grip are phenomenal (Although I have not tried to use any with gloves on!) However it is a BIG knife and requires big hands to control it IMO. Cuts cardboard/wood all day & only requires a bit of stropping to bring back the nice sharp edge. (Not that it really went away - it just helps one believe one is looking after it!) If you’re in the market for only one great pocket knife & have big hands, this could be the one!! If not then look at the other Benchmades I can assure you one will fit the bill & disappointed not will you be!!!
