The Spyderco Endela C243PBK is slightly bigger than the Delica, and slightly smaller than the Endura. At the request of many Spyderco fans, Spyderco introduced this knife. Many knife enthusiasts namely felt the Delica was a little too small, and the Endura a little too big. The name of the Endela is also a combination of both knives. We love to see how Spyderco listens so carefully to community requests. With the Endela Spyderco has given the knife world even more to choose from within their already extensive range of different knives.
With a blade length of 8.2 cm the Endela has a blade that is 9 mm longer than the Delica, and 1.4 cm shorter than the Endura. A perfect intermediate size. Other than that the Endela is exactly as we are accustomed to from the Delica and Endura. The blade is made from VG-10 steel. A great type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The handle is made from FRN, fibre-reinforced nylon that weighs next to nothing and is incredibly strong.
You open the Spyderco Endela with the thumb hole. One of the easiest ways of opening a knife if you ask us. When opened a solid backlock locks the blade. This is a rock-solid lock you control on the spine of the handle. You can attach the pocket clip in four different places to make sure you can carry the Endela any way you want.
