The**Opinel No. 08 Black Oak** is a smooth and modern version of the Opinel 8 Classic. The Sandvik 12C27 steel blade is enhanced with a matte black coating. The Virobloc locking ring has a satin black coating. Combined with the cool oak handle the whole looks very modern. 

  in shape and function nothing has been changed by Opinel. The blade is still nice and thin and the Virobloc lock still prevents unintentional opening and closing. The black coating helps to prevent corrosion. It may, therefore, be the most corrosion-resistant Opinel on the market. Opinel delivers the Black Oak 08 in a beautiful wooden presentation box with a plexiglass lid.

Great blade and a beatiful contrast, have been using one since 2019 out and indoors but recently exchanged it for a different blade hence I bought another one from "Knives & Tools" whose service was very good 
I'd recommend the blade and K&T to anyone looking for a decent pocket tool :)
