The **Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight C148PBK** is an ambitious little pocket knife. Small but powerful. It's easy to carry, and thanks to the rounded edge, it's more convenient to use than you might think! The Ambitious Lightweight is made from light weight materials and has 'skeletonized' steel liners. This means that the knife is sturdy, yet light in weight. You can open the knife with the thumb-hole, and a liner lock keeps the blade securely in place.

You can wear the pocket clip in four different ways. 

## Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight blade

The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV-steel. This is a type of stainless steel that, should it lose some of its sharpness, will be easy to sharpen again. 

## Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight handle

The Ambitious Lightweight handle is made from Fibreglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN). FRN is a fibreglass-reinforced plastic. FRN can really take a beating, which makes it perfect for a knife that gets used on a daily basis. The handle features Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texturing Pattern. Cool term, but it simply means that the handle offers great grip in either direction.

Dezelfde kwalificaties die ik geschreven heb over de G10 uitvoering, echter een slordige 10 gram lichter.
De FRN schalen bieden eveneens goed houvast, maar voelen totaal anders aan dan G10.
Niettemin fijn mesje.

Très satisfait de ce petit couteau que l'on met à la poche le plus naturellement du monde... Très léger, clip parfait que l'on peut enlever ou bouger. Excellent rapport qualité-prix au design typique des Spyderco, et lame rasoir...

Dit zakmes is erg praktisch door het formaat. Handig in gebruik en gemakkelijk zeer scherp te slijpen. Altijd weer een afweging bij intensief gebruik: Prefereer ik een duurder mes (-staal) dat langer scherp blijft (vaak lastiger te slijpen) of een wat “goedkoper” model dat sneller bijslijpen vereist. Dit is een typisch voorbeeld van een betaalbaar mesje dat in non-survival situaties meer dan voldoet !  En wederom dank voor de excellente service k&t’s !

This Spyderco Ambitous is a great entry level knife if you want a small EDC with Spyderco's unqiue design. You get the light weight scales, with grippy texture and the Spyderco hole design in the blade. I changed the pocket clip on mine for a deep carry clip and it also needed a little adjustment to the pivot and some oiling to make it run a little smoother, but with these minor tweaks you get a very good knife for the money. If you like this knife and wanted a larger version then the Tenacious is worth considering, but for a small pocket knife that packs a lot of punch for its size, then you can't really go wrong.
