Extrema Ratio Satre neck knives
The Satre is Extrema Ratio’s compact neck knife, small enough to wear discreetly around your neck yet sturdy enough for real use in the field. Alongside the regular Satre, Extrema Ratio also makes the Satre FX, a version with a black mil-spec oxide finish. The blade is made from Nitrogen steel or the harder Böhler S600, in colours from black to yellow and orange.
Satre and Satre FX, two versions of the same compact neck knife
The Satre is intended as a backup knife, small enough to wear under your clothing around your neck, but with a blade that is sharp and sturdy enough for real use. The steel is Nitrogen or, in one of the versions, the harder Böhler S600, which offers slightly better edge stability.
The Satre FX shares that compact size, but stands out because of its black oxide finish to mil-spec MIL-C-13924, the same treatment you see on more military knives from this brand. That finish gives the steel extra protection against rust.
The bright colours such as yellow and orange are not just a style choice, they also make the knife easier to find again if you put it down for a moment. Both versions come with a light plastic sheath that you wear around your neck on a cord.
