Features of the Gerber Strongarm

The Strongarm was designed with tactical purposes in mind, which becomes clear when looking at its features.

420HC-steel blade with Cerakote coating

The 420HC steel blade is nice and solid. At the same time it is not too large to carry out simple tasks around the camp. The matt-black ceramic coating protects the blade from rust and prevents reflections. The tang of the blade seamlessly merges with the handle. It slightly protrudes from the handle. Great when breaking something. For example, breaking a window or collecting cockles that are stuck on a rock.

FRN handle

The handle is made from FRN: glass-reinforced nylon. Light-weight and rock-solid. For additional grip this Gerber is enhanced with an additional rubber overmould around this core. An additional layer with checkered pattern offers enough grip. This is especially useful in wet conditions when your hands are slippery.

MOLLE-compatible sheath

Notable is the very elaborate sheath that is included when you buy the Strongarm. Left-handed, right-handed, vertical or horizontal on your belt or MOLLE vest: the Strongarm will feel at home anywhere. You can attach it to basically anything.

Gerber Strongarm Camp

The Strongarm Camp is a lighter version of the Gerber Strongarm, made in the United States. This knife is designed for people who are more involved in tasks around the campsite, like food preparation, fire making and other light cutting tasks. The blade is therefore ground a little thinner than that of the original Strongarm. There is also the Gerber Strongarm Camp CPM MagnaCut. This modern steel combines excellent edge retention with impressive strength and exceptionally high resistance to rust. Perfect for campers, bushcrafters and professionals who use their knife in all weathers.
