MKM Normar: exclusive design by Voxnaes
The MKM Normar was created through a collaboration between Knivesandtools, Jesper Voxnaes and MKM. With this knife, we wanted to get the most out of this type of steel. And we were successful! Of course, we extensively tested (i.e. abused) this knife, and the edge remained perfect. The knife was designed by Jesper Voxnaes. You can tell by the simple yet effective lines. A modern design with a hint of a traditional bushcraft knife. Available with different handle materials. Which is your favourite?

MKM Normar: grind and blade shape
The Normar has a full-tang blade made from CPM 3V steel. With this knife, we wanted to get the most out of this type of steel. And we were successful! Of course, we extensively tested (i.e. abused) this knife, and the edge remained perfect. What's special about the Normar is its blade shape and its grind. The sizable 'belly' of the blade really stands out. This shape is perfect for food prep, but also for skinning animals and for different kinds of wood working tasks. The sharp point of the knife allows you to work very precisely. The blade has a Scandi grind, a first for MKM and LionSteel. Seriously strong, and easy to sharpen. Perfect for wood working!
